I'm new here

i'm in my late teens, grew up in it, and got out of the society's regime by the skin of my teeth.
nearly go baptized because i firmly did believe it was the "truth" but because of a gut feeling that held me back, that i almost ignored, i didn't sign my blood to big brother.

Not on JW.ORG: Is a Jehovah's Witness who is active on Facebook, yet lists "Jehovah Witness" as Religion...loyal to the GB ?

i have to interface for business with a jdub who has an active fb page, and lists "jehovah's witness" under the "religion" area- publicly.
so is this a super zealous jw...weak....disobediant...or zealot?

Facebook has been fine for awhile. Quite a few older ones, pioneers and most of the elders wives have pages. It is not viewed as "less spiritual" by an means. At least not in th U.S.

I used to. She is an elderette, who tried to start a "discussion"' in the KH to see if I had a problem with her. I said, with a smile, "How could I"? She was worried she had offended me in some way because I was cool with her. I informed her that I don't believe in being stumbled or offended - those are choices people make and I don't choose to live my life that way. She had been hounding me for months. Once I said what I had to say, she left me alone. Many sisters have issues with her. It's almost comical.

Governing Body Put Down Education Because The Sad Facts Show Higher Education Leads Lower Bull Tollerance
by frankiespeakin inas lamented by members of the governing body higher education is causeing many to leave the organization and so it is demonized by them.. subjects the governing body would hate to see young one study are numerous.
they would like to keep things very simple it is easier to control people.
they would prefere to go backward in technology to the time the first printing presses back in the 16th century, that is the level they work best at.. .

True. I'm new and still in the mode of "How can I get others I care about thinking and onto this site?" Just thinking of the two months I lurked and was still nervous about "apostates" and their negativity, as projected by the GB. I was leery of clicking on certain threads, based on the subject line. Check jwfacts.Com - i think it is 37 percent. A European I worked with me pointed out that JW's have the highest number of African Americans of any denomination. He was searching for "the Truth" and wondered why so many of JW's are African American. Where I live it seems like the only group that is growing in JW world.
